An illustration I made in photoshop of a Wah pedal. I stated by taking a picture of my wah, then I masked around it in photoshop. Then I replaced the picture of the wah with a solid blue colour and added some effects. What do you think, in my opinion it could do with some shading, but yeah…

1. A Metronome
If you want to play with good rhythm, then you’re probably want to buy a metronome. You can use them for improving strumming, or playing faster leads.
2. Looper Pedal
Looper pedals are brilliant for practicing with. You can record and layer guitar tracks to improvise over and create brilliant harmonies. They can be bought fairly cheaply second hand too.
3. Backing Tracks
Practicing scales and modes can be a nightmare, and sometimes no matter how much effort you put in you don’t get anywhere! Playing with backing tracks really helps improvising skills, especially in unusual keys and positions.
